Colorado Mediterranean Client: Private Residence, Pueblo, CO This open flowing plan has panoramic views of a golf course and city/mountain views to the west. To protect the house from the late Colorado noon sun, the design incorporated a wraparound deck on the west side allowing interior space to become exterior space while offering year-round weather protection. While panoramic views of an adjacent golf course and Pikes Peak were desired, the intense western sun made this a true challenge. A blending of interior to exterior space with an extensive "living terrace" allowed this homeowner to enjoy all that Colorado has to offer in perfect comfort. Exterior finishes combine Colorado's rustic beauty with the low-maintenance simplicity of the Mediterranean style. |
